Writing Chinese Language Teacher Professional Development (2004-2013): State of the Art, a part of the key research project of the Ministry of Education, China - "Annual Report on the Disciplinary Development of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language", led by the Center for Studies of Chinese as a Second Language, Beijing Language and Culture University, Beijing, China.
  2. Undertook the research project Developing "My Way" in Chinese Language Teaching - Qualitative Case Studies of Teachers' Personal Practical Knowledge, sponsored by Victoria PhD scholarship and Faculty Grant, Victoria University of Wellington, (2006-2009).
  3. Took part in the development of Hao! An Introduction to Modern Standard Chinese, a teachers' kit for New Zealand Chinese language teachers, as a consultant, funded by the Ministry of Education, New Zealand, (2004).
  4. Coordinated a cooperative training program for primary school principals in Gansu Province, China, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, New Zealand, (2002-2004).
